36 My awareness in what my body can do and my mind can put up with has been heightened greatly during this Week Long. This is good, I enjoyed myself and the other students and Instructors. Thank you. I would like to try to do this again next year.

35 This year's Weeklong Seminar gave me a foundation to improve my practice and form for the year ahead. In just a few days, I became more relaxed and flexible than I have ever been before.

37 This has been the best week! I wish that I could come back next week for the 2nd Week Long! It has been so wonderful to have eight hours a day of instruction from Head National Instructors. I have learned so much about movement and my understanding and appreciation for Oom Yung Doe has increased at least tenfold. I have greater strength in my lower body and greater flexibility and openness in my middle to upper body. It has been an honor to be here. Thank you so much.

28 I have felt my body change in ways I never felt possible from the first day. I felt my back and hips totally open up. I've gained a fuller range of motion and greater flexibility than I have ever had during my training. I look forward to what I can develop from these movements over the next few months.

33 It has been a great motivation to be around so many others who are striving to challenge themselves and improve. The level of personal attention and genuine concern by the Head National Instructors Team over one week makes my body feel as if it has been training with these movements for months. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to absorb the ocean environment through the guidance of the deepest line of knowledge and the most qualified instructors and most honorable role models I have ever known. I am extremely grateful to Chong Su Nim "Iron" Kim for sharing his knowledge with us.

33 The 2002 Week Long Traditional Moo Doe Training Seminar was awesome! Certainly I thought nothing could top last year, but this year the entire program of development was total and complete. All of the movements were powerful, but also they were connected to each other in ways that I believe will enhance their combined effect. Prior to the seminar I understood mentally that a balanced lesson with correct movement could go on all night until dawn, and still the student will feel refreshed and energized. But I didn't understand this physically, with my body. Head National Instructor Jerry taught us the subtlety behind the outward form of the movement, such that I started to get it! I finally see HOW to practice, not just how hard to practice. Everyone can attest to how challenging the first few days were for all. But once we understood, by the morning of the 3rd day I wasn't sore anymore and my body started to really change fast. I can compare that one week worth of positive change to 6 months of practice.

21 The movements taught at this year's Week Long were truly amazing. The care and attention that Chong Su Nim showed to students in attendance was clearly evident in the daily adjustments and special movements for those with specific injuries. The teaching team showed genuine concern for the specific condition of each student; all the members would check on the status of my back injury daily. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend this week of training and receive these specialized movements.

38 The 2002 Week Long Traditional Moo Doe Training Seminar was a tremendous experience. It was great to see the strength of schools throughout the U.S. This weeklong was a chance to spend time with the highest belts in the country and to establish new friendships with Instructors and students from other parts of the country. The ocean setting was amazing. I would like to thank Grandmaster for putting together the seminar and Higher Belts for spending so much time with myself and others to get the most out of it. I personally changed more physically and mentally over the course of 5 days than any previous seminar. The meditation gave me a glimpse into the power of higher level meditation and the peace that can come with it. Based on the new training programs and upcoming seminars it is clear to me that Instructors and students have an unprecedented opportunity to develop themselves to their highest potential in a short period of time. If one truly wants to experience Traditional Moo Doe to its fullest, the weeklong is this opportunity.

49 Wow! Where do I start in describing this fantastic training experience? Before each training session we did Myung Sang movements and Nae Gong breathing. The Myung Sang movements warmed up the outside of my body while the Nae Gong breathing warmed up the inside. After completeing these set of movements, my mind and body truly felt harmonized, ready to absorb whatever the Head National Instructors would pass to me during the session. During the first two days of training, I felt the most challenged mentally and physically, mentally trying to memorize the sequence of movements and physically trying to execute the movements to the best of my ability. By the second night, my body was really tired, my legs ached, my brain felt overloaded. We meditated each night, and I found this really helped me to relax my mind. On the third morning, everything changed. My body felt different, I felt I could now focus on really working on the physical aspects of these new movements. The Head National Instructors would come around while we were working on each of the forms and give me corrections on how I could best do each movement. It was amazing, some times I'd be struggling with a particular aspect of a movement and one of the Head National Instructors would make one simple suggestion that would all of a sudden make it "all come together". Without their guidance I would have been struggling for months with that one movement. We used herbal equipment for several of the forms we were shown. While I've used herbal equipment before, for the first time in my training my body was able to relax enough so that I could really feel the equipment making it easier for me to move. It's hard for me to put down on paper everything I felt and gained in this one week of training. The opportunity to work on movements for hours at a time, multiple times in a day and for five days in a row really helped me not only bring up my skill and ability with the particular movements we were passed, but also with my foundation training. Aside from the training sessions, just being around Head National Instructors and being able to ask them for guidance with my personal training has been great. I certainly found this week to be invaluable and will definitely be back next year. I want to thank Grandmaster Iron Kim for designing this weeklong seminar and to thank the Head National Instructors for passing me Moo Doe knowledge.

39 I gained a lot mentally and physically from the Giant Pearl form. The harder I tried to do it, the more physically and mentally I broke. When I learned, through instruction, to to with nature, to relax in the movement and let momentum do it's part, not only was it easier, but it came up more fluid and I understand the concept or principle of the form better. This is how I struggle in life -- I try to make things happen, rather than relax, understand, and work with nature. Thank you also for the meditation lesson, to focus on what can be accomplished the next day, to take in the positive energy of the ocean and release the negativity helped enormously in achieving goals each day. I am grateful to all the higher belts, who in their individual way but also as one mind, helped me to focus, understand and grow and I thank Grandmaster for passing the knowledge to them.

35 I personally enjoyed meeting students and instructors from all over the country. There was a real sense of community that developed through our shared experiences. I was also moved by the depth of care, concern and warmth exhibited by the instructors and the International Level Team.

34 I came into the Week Long 4 months after complete ACL reconstructive surgery on my knee having been told not to expect too much of my knee for at least 6 months. To my delight, I was able to follow all of the movement and practice movement that I wouldn't have dreamt of attempting on my own. With the proper direction, movement and practice…and lots of herb, not only have I worked through my limitations, my knee is stronger and more flexible by far than it was upon my arrival here.

28 First, I would like to thank Grandmaster and the International Teaching Team for sharing their knowledge of traditional Moo Doe. Throughout this week, the experiences shared were all composed of a sense of belonging and acceptance. The patience and kindness displayed by our higher belts was extraordinary. They genuinely care about each and every one of the students and made all of us feel like a significant part of their lives.

39 In one week I felt I have developed more than any other week in my training. I have also made new friends and reconnected with old ones.
Chris W. 33 I found the Week Long seminar to have been a very valuable experience. The forms I learned are clearly improving my condition, but more than that are the benefits gained from learning directly from the Head National Instructors. I not only learned the sequences, but had adequate time for corrections to improvem my performance and ability far faster than cold be expected in the normal classroom environment. I look forward to attending next year's Week Long seminar.
