Now my mind and body are functioning better than in 20 years. Most importantly to me, my meditation has deepened dramatically. It appears that many facets of my life and spiritual practice have finally come together! For this I am extremely grateful to Grand Master, the International Instructors and my local Instructors. They all demonstrate what they teach.

At this year's weeklong, my meditation showed me that I was not as calm as I thought. The meditation at the beginning of the week was very challenging with all sorts of thoughts swirling in my mind. As the week progressed the swirling began to slow; and after finishing my meditations I felt a deep sense of calm and peace that has seemed to stay with me.

This weeklong has been very beneficial for me; mind & body. Since having my baby I've had to take a step back to concentrate on him, but in the process I've been neglecting myself. This week I was able to work on me & I feel so much better in the short time it's been. I was surprised my body really came back fast with the movement & really didn't feel as far behind as I thought I was. I still have a way to go but this was a great jump start I needed.

I've been training for over 5 years & with having a baby my body was able to come back faster than most I know. With the guidance of my instructor and higher belts I didn't rush getting my body back but slowly as to not cause permanent damage. Now I feel stronger & now I've come through as healthier.

The movements passed are what my body was craving. I really needed certain things to regain strength in my weaker areas & it's funny how that is what was passed. Also purging the negative out of me was very helpful. Grandmaster has said you can't fully get rid, but building an invisible barrier to protect your is what's important. That's what I'm working on. In general the week's experiences have helped me purge, strengthen & focus. It's always motivating & feels great.

2008 Week Long Seminar

I started this weeklong feeling tired and worn down, frustrated by several things in my life. The first event was the banquet, which really refreshed me and woke me up. Associating with others on a positive path is invigorating in mind and spirit.

My mind was set on gaining something extraordinary this weekend. My goal was absolutely met. My physical condition has increased greatly. I am going to positions I never thought I would, doing kicks I never thought I could. Mentally, I am calmer, happier, more set and centered. I'm ready to go back to school and work and family and home, and use what I've learned. The principles from conversations, from movement, and from watching my higher belts. Everyone at work looks forward to me going to the weeklong every year almost as much as I do-it stays with me, makes me happier, better, calmer, stronger.

Each year, my life gets better by applying principles of nature, of life, that I've learned at the weeklong.

This is my first experience with attending the weeklong. I wish I could say that my experience was what I expected but that would be false. In my life, I've had many opportunities to do different things but to truly look at yourself and do something for yourself that will benefit so many others I may come in contact with is very powerful. I know that my mind is sharper, my body is stronger and the condition has changed, and my spirit is soaring. I feel that I'm truly a part of everyone and that was not true upon my arrival. A condition has come up, in my hip, that is being addressed, but I know become a thing of the past soon. I will continue my training when I return home but that will be a very different type of training.

Throughout the week I have felt many things. I have felt a strong feeling of calm, and community. I have felt a healing energy that has helped me to further overcome many old injuries and new ones. The spiritual guidance I have received this week has been more than helpful, and inspiring. I feel I am really starting to see my true self.

I'm an Instructor and for years my wife watches me leave for the weeklong every year. She's a student for close to two years now and had her first experience at a weeklong; actually my whole family. Before the weeklong, she was hesitant and not knowing what to expect. By the third day I noticed her stress diminish and her energy increase. She told me she was feeling so much calmer and being a manager in a retail department store, that's a major achievement. Both of us are reaching deeper positions and holding them stronger. Overall this weeklong has made our family stronger and closer together.

Great Experience! I was impressed by the quality of instruction I received from both the Int'l Team and the other Instructors/students who attended the weeklong. Everyone was genuinely interested in helping the student learn the philosophy & purpose of OYD principles. I highly recommend this weeklong for students looking to elevate their knowledge & execution of the OYD principles.

The amount of movement I learned and absorbed over a week is more than I could imagine before coming. The lessons about Oom Yung Doe and Moo Doe that come through in the way the higher belts are, the conversations with them, the movement and the way it is taught, the movement and about everything teach me a lot. It is my Oom Yung Doe annual refresher and I am thankful for it.

The connections between mind, body, movement, spirit and the Oom Yung Doe values are one of the special things about the weeklong I appreciate very much.

This year was my 2nd time attending the weeklong seminar and it was the most amazing experience of my life. I came here knowing that I needed to relieve a lot of built up stress and negative energy. After only a few days I had already released negative energy that I didn't even realize was stuck in my body. Through the combination of incredible movement, a very strong Nae Shim Gong mediation and the powerful energy of the environment I was able to gain a year of my life in only 5 days time. Now I feel recharged, full of hope and a sense of peace and calmness I can bring with me to chare with others. The weeklong seminar is an experience and feeling that is difficult to describe and is something that everyone should experience for themselves.

This week has cleansed my body, calmed my being. I am very grateful for the movement shared, the instruction received, the community I experienced, the new friendships I have. Also I am very grateful for the interactions & guidance from the international team. I have a new and renewed life to bring with me as I return.

The weeklong seminar is for everyone. I cannot think of any better way to spend my time or money. The International Level teaching team is the most skilled group of teachers I have ever seen. Personally, what I have learned at the Weeklong Seminar has gone far beyond how to physically move. We have focused on principles that can be applied to movements to make them stronger and more fluid but the same principles can be applied to daily life to reduce and eliminate negative aspects and nurture the positive leading to general happiness, higher quality relationships with others and overall success.

Overall since I have begun training and have been able to see myself my skills, abilities, habits, weakness and personality are all brought to the forefront. Both the physical and mental components of the training are tools that I use to improve myself, to shape myself into the person that I want to be. The training allows me to use my energy to become a higher quality human being that will enjoy personal success but also become a role model for those around me and a leader in the community. For me, the training is the best way I know to raise myself up and pass on something important and enduring to my family and to coming generations.

The weeklong is a powerful experience, 5 days of physical training with balanced movement under expert direction makes for an incredible experience. The location, herbal tea and energy of the area helped me attain a great level of peace and happiness, which I look forward to taking back to my community. I have been to more than 10 weeklongs and consider it the highlight of the year due to the deep mental, physical, and spiritual benefits. It's a can't miss event for me.

The 2008 weeklong was the strongest yet. My meditation increased in time and depth. For the most part, distractions that had been a problem in the past were non-existent.

The lower body forms were especially helpful for me. My lower body had been having issues this past 2 years, and although a challenge, the forms and movements passed give me a basis on which to being recovery. This week, with the movements and herbs my lower body feels loose and my knees feel tired, but much better.

I came into this week during a time of increased stress. The combination of training, the positive people, and healing environment have led to my feeling of calmness and balance. The care and attention that instructors and others have put into making this an all-around beneficial experience is greatly appreciated!

Attending the weeklong was a very positive experience for me. I came feeling very overwhelmed with the stresses and pressure of life and after the first day I felt that tension subside. The movement combined with the positive atmosphere, and the beauty of the place all served to relax me and bring me to a peaceful place. The environment really helped me to get into a deeper meditation than I am able to get into at home. I am glad that I attended this year's weeklong as it is the most relaxed that I have felt in months.

The 2008 Weeklong Seminar was a purifying experience. In just one week I have been able to reset my condition and develop myself further in ways physical, mental, and spiritual. The meditation enabled me to more clearly see who I am.

Prior to this years weeklong (my first), I had been told many great things about the event by my instructors and fellow students. At the start of the week I wished I could fast forward time to Friday evening, so I could see the physical and mental changes I would gain through the training. By Friday I was extremely pleased with the changes I see in myself but now I wish I could reverse time and start the week again (but maintain my current physical and mental state).

This is my 3rd weeklong seminar. During the first two, it was pretty much about the movement for me. This year, it has been a much more internal experience. I feel as thought I am beginning on a path toward greater inner peace. My meditation has gone for longer periods this week, and I have felt much more relaxed and peaceful than ever after mediating.

The presence of so many children has given this weeklong more of a "family feel" than ever.

Always changing; always healing. This year's weeklong presented no end of challenges for me. Working thru the slow days, the painful days I have come out at the end with two movements of joy. For the first time I was able to perform front snap kicks without locking my left knee. The second amazing thing was performing front step over T, R' L and actually stepped over about a foot, instead of just pass my left foot. I have bone on bone knee arthritis, and I continue to marvel at the effects of Moo Doe training. It is definitely becoming a way of life for me.

The physical benefits are not the only positive in my life. As soon as I arrived my left knee that was experiencing weakness and threatening to collapse began to feel stronger. A calm entered me. I knew everything would be ok. One point on Thursday when I was giving my knee some rest (my hip too) I experienced a profound negative moment where I was frustrated I couldn't do movement though I tried again. I collected myself and said it really wasn't important (the feelings). My feeling of well being returned and with a renewed spirit of calm and continued the day moving lightly to go thru movement for learning sequence. And the herbs. I can't say enough about all the herbs. My meditation experience has been full of scenery, animals, and for the first time small units of colors. I also have a guide inviting me further.
