This year's weeklong seminar was an incredible experience for me. The movement was powerful and created a tremendous amount of energy in the body. Through the Nae Gong exercises and daily meditations, I connected to a source of power and strength that I didn't realize I had access to. During my meditation, I had a life changing experience. I found my true self, connected to eternal life and every living thing around me. This is something I have strived for, read about, thought I knew, but hadn't yet reached. To clarify, I have practiced different types of meditations. In my early 20's, I spent 2 ½ months each summer, for a period of 10 years, on a retreat in the mountains of New Mexico with a spiritual teacher. ... In all of these years of training and meditations, I never had an experience as I had at my Oom Yung Doe weeklong meditations. This weeklong has given me a glimpse of the importance of our meditative work and the nature of internal development which is possible with traditional Moo Doe. As much of a breakthrough I feel I had at the weeklong, I know it is only the beginning. I feel that I have just opened the door to my path in understanding Reality, and this is going to be possible if I continue to train with Oom Yung Doe. ... The deep changes I experienced within myself at the weeklong have stayed with me. I feel a deeper connection to myself, to my family and people around me. I feel a deep strength emerging that was hidden before.
Last week I participated in my first weeklong seminar and found the experience extremely powerful for my training and for my overall well-being. With my 58th birthday looming, I arrived at the ranch with some anxiety about whether my body would hold up under this type of rigorous training. My worries were totally unfounded. The training schedule was perfect. Three-hour morning and afternoon sessions consisted of a variety of form movements for two hours along with an hour of meditation at the end. This routine left me relaxed and invigorated after every session, rather than exhausted or drained. I could feel my body becoming stronger and more flexible with each session as my mind and spirit became relaxed and at peace. That peace is still with me a week later and I feel it will continue. I also had the opportunity to meet and listen to Grand Master speak for the first time. When he entered the room in which a group of us were standing I felt as if I were in the presence of a tornado! I also remember thinking, "He is almost 20 years older than I and looks younger!" With tremendous vigor he spoke to us about how he had attained great strength, health, and well-being through his practice of traditional moo doe and of his commitment to "earning his life" by passing on this knowledge, wisdom and practice to his students.

I highly recommend this weeklong seminar to anyone looking to challenge themselves mentally and physically. The OYD International Teaching Team, once again, demonstrated why they are the very best at what they do. Their knowledge, professionalism and willingness to help the student to learn & put into practice OYD principles makes this seminar a "must do" for anyone interested in becoming a Moo Doe practitioner.

After 40 minutes of meditation, my mind was clear, and my body tingled all over with new found energy. My knees were no longer sore. This refreshing feeling persisted for about as long as I had meditated. Afterwards, my physical condition normalized and although I was tired from the long day, I felt like I could practice again.

The most recent weeklong seminar was the most powerful training experience I have had to date. Through the practice of the proper foundation movements and meditation I have a new found clarity and purpose. With the increase in my energy, focus, creativity, and the ability to think and react quickly I have accomplished as much in the 12 days since the practice as in the entire month before hand. I offer my most sincere thanks to Grandmaster "Iron" Kim for making this training possible, and the International Teaching Team for giving their time and energy to help Instructors and students change their reality for the better. This year's weeklong enabled me to get far deeper in my meditation that I have been able to in my normal practice. This has lead to a deeper sense of calm and peace than I have ever felt before and is something that I have been able to maintain after coming home from the weeklong even with the added stresses and difficulties of day to day life. The combination of movements and direction from higher belts let me take a step forward that I had been unable to on my own. I feel that this is just the first step, but I already notice the clear benefits to my life and those around me.

My weeklong experience changed my perception on my life and my direction. It is easy to think that the weeklong ends in one week, that I traveled on the plane back to Seattle and left it all, but the reality is that even now, as I write this, that weeklong is still happening and I am still learning. MacKenzie G. After a year of business and personal hardships my blood pressure read 167/95... The purification that the weeklong gave me was just what the Doctor ordered. Knowing that I would benefit from the weeklong movements, the tea, the meals, the hot spring pool and the stress free environment I set out and stayed focused this weeklong... Upon return to home when I checked my blood pressure read 130/85. My challenge until next years weeklong is to continue the movements and maintain my diet plan in order to live a long and meaningful life.
